The U.S. mint created the “Buffalo nickel” or “Indian Head nickel” from 1913 to 1938. It was made to be a copper-nickel five-cent piece, designed by a sculptor named James Earle Fraser, who portrayed the buffalo (i.e. American bison) pictured on one side of the coin and a chief on the other side.

I find these coins to be so beautiful, that I had use them in my jewelry designs. Not only can someone have a beautiful piece of history, they can wear it. These Buffalo Nickel Bracelets are hand-stitched, using genuine leather. They are made to last, fit comfortably and match your everyday wear.

I have been designing jewelry since 1998 and what I do, is what I love. I love working with natural materials and repurposing beautiful things from the past. My jewelry designs are made by hand and inspired by real life. Being able to make others smile and feel good when they wear my designs is a beautiful experience and I am excited to share my art with you. You’ll see, I also use the Buffalo Nickel coins to make beautiful earrings, cufflinks, necklaces and more!
